| foal User Info... | Hey Im a guitar player looking to start some sort of free music ensemble. Im looking to do things on the more quiet and minimal side rather than the total noise freakout side. Influences on my guitar playing are.. Derek Bailey, Storm & Stress, Caspar Brotzmann, Fennesz etc. Im looking for more of a jazz band line up, instrumentation wise... Sax, Piano, Drums, Double Bass... Vibes and possibly minimal electronic... but who knows... im pretty sure this wont come together in Victoria. | Aidan Logins User Info... | I'm totally into free jazz. I especially enjoy the Cecil Taylor Unit and guys like Paul Bley... all that sort of stuff. My current band Batteryhead is sort of doing the music without limitations thing as well, but even more so. Our songs are structured, but have no limitations in sound. This sort of a project would be really neat for me, I'd have to play guitar or bass for something like this, not confident enough at other instruments to delve into Free Jazz yet. | foal User Info... | The only reason i added the PS on the end is because i have had people emailing me in the past, saying "we should get high and go jam acoustic guitars in a park!" and that is something im not looking for... Im not looking for some phish inspired hippy jam shit... is what im getting at. But yes interested people should email me, I think i have a drummer and guitar player lined up. Come on Sax players!
