| Pipedreamer User Info... | Hey we need a singer/guitarist or singer/keyboardist. If you really can sing harmony, and want to sing some leads (ie. half), play guitar or keyboards well. Or both. We'd like to get together for a jam. Our band plays rock. Covers. Basic three and four chord rock. And sometimes dreamy atmospheric rock. The emphasis is on fun, but we are planning to play live: all of us have lots of live performance experience playing originals. This band is about the fun of playing. We may be open to a singer that doesn't play an instrument, but they'd have to be pretty special, and most likely is already playing with someone else. But, after perusing the other posts, it seems that many others are seeking singers. Also, it should be noted that we are post-thirty. But we all can play. - Wed, 22 Feb 2006 1:31pm | ||
| Doc User Info... | Hey there, I am a singer who can play guitar (though I wouldn't actually call myself a guitarist). What kinda tunes are you talkin' about, I mean there's a whole lot a basic 3 and 4 chord rock covering a whole spectrum of genres. Anywho, I am most definately interested in learning more and perhaps getting together with you guys. In case it might make a difference, I am not post-thirty but I am close. | Pipedreamer User Info... | Well, thanks for responding. We play small combo rock and roll and pick songs from the catalogues of the Beatles, the La's, Elvis Costello, and a whole bunch of lesser known artists (who are in our opinion really cool). We also play dreamy kind of stuff like the Church (gotta have a chorus pedal and delay). What we need to make our group complete is a singer that plays something, either guitar or keys. But they gotta like to harmonize, cause that's what we are all about: the singing. It is tough to find apparently...We have someone coming out next week, don't know how that will go, but I'll post here post that time and get back to you... - Fri, 24 Feb 2006 7:51pm | ||
