| laprider User Info... | I am a guitarist/vocalist/writer. Been around the block and well established. I am currently looking at putting together a new band. Style wise?, I have too many influences to list and am not going into this with any preconceived notions of a "sound". I am looking to have the group sound like the sum of the players and personalities involved. I am looking for people that are competent at what they do and confident with who they are! Age and gender not that big of a deal, but I have been at this a while and played in excess of a thousand gigs, so do expect a certain level of player. Sorry my days of "much music" dreams are over, playing Music is what I do, I've been working my solo project for a while and just feel like being in a group dynamic again. | JK User Info... | hey man, it's Jordan here, we see each other around sometimes; we discussed protools while pushing our children in swings a few months back, etc... I've looked at this board (bored?) off and on for about 10 years but rarely connect with any 1/2-way-like-minded people musically... once inawhile I end up at pro jam spaces trying out with some people but am still hungry for a good project. I enjoy reggae, funk, jazz, 'world', rock blues ska electronic music indian dub fusion you name it. I have nice maple ayotte drums, maybe an experienced musician like you with some connections could help land these drums under some nice lights one day in a bar/cafe/hall/auditorium or what have you.. instead of them gathering dust. I know a few guitars/bass/keyboards by now but kinda slim pickins; if you know or end up connecting with some good musicians and need drums, or want to start with drums and then latch onto the other players, and if we hit it off musically then that would be cool. cool gotta go fix some more computers and stuff, thought I'd beat all those other eager folks to replying to your post here... bye for now!
