A drummer is needed for a new band I have going with Bryan Wilde and Adam Basterfield (both incredibly talented and devoted musicians). We had a drummer but he had too many serious projects on his plate and had to drop out. The focus for this band is to hit the bar scene of victoria and HARD with songs from the late 60's and early 70's. We aren't going to be playing the same 30 songs every other cover band around here does (i.e. No Matter What, 867-5309, Long Cool Woman, Get It On-Bang A Gong etc.) Some of the material we have planned out is quite challenging as far as drumming goes so only the serious need apply. We are looking for someone in/around the age of 15-21 but are open to just about anyone. In this band alot is centered around Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Stones, Cream and other bands who helped pave the way of rock music, if you think you can pass off a wild interpritation of John Bonham, Keith Moon, and Ginger Baker let us know because we would love to audition you. We are not planning any gigs until we know we can blow people away so there is no rush but I have the connections once we are ready. Also cover bands are where the gigs(and money) are, so if you want to get out playing infront people this is where it's at.

hey there, I am a couple years older (I'm 30) than the age group you were seeking, but luckily for you I have aged musically at a slow rate so maybe it'll balance out.... anyways I enjoy some 'classic rock' but really just certain stuff like the bands you mentioned. Tho I also listen to reggae and jam-bands and jazz and funk and so on, of 60's/70's stuff I enjoy jimi, floyd, zeppelin, cream, beatles, grateful dead, james brown, allman brothers, and others.

So if you end up not finding someone in the 19-25 age group, let me know; I could pass for a scruffy-haired drummer like those ones you mentioned... I am known as having a reasonably heavy bass-drum foot like in zeppelin but enjoy jazzy jams like ginger baker or the hendrix drummer go off into sumtimes. I don't listen to a lot of 'rock' as far as modern stuff goes, but get down on zeppelin or floyd or beatles sumtimes. I enjoy stevie ray vaughn.

cool, gotta fly, just responding to the odd intersting ads, lemme know if you get to a point where you want to jam/tryout or whatever.

hey there, I am a 21 year old drummer very comfortable playing rock, jazz, blues, whatever. I was just wondering what how many times a week you would be practicing and what days. The reason I ask is that I currently have a serious original band that I play in but would love to join a cover band to get out there and make some money and have fun. I have played in a 60's 70's cover band before and we were pretty succesful. If the days fit I would be very reliable and hard working. let me know. thanks
