$200 for 1/2 day. Or $600 for 2 day workshop, guaranteed to leave with a four piece recorded CD. - Mon, 26 Sep 2005 4:15pm

Dirty boy,

How can you garantee how well any person is going be? They get what they put into it, lots of practice. Everyone is different and has unique strengths and weaknesses.

That's a very good point. While I admit it may seem like a lofty claim, I believe that anyone, no matter what skill level can, in the space of two months with a minimal effort, overcome the rudiments of a fret board, and move beyond just chords to a level where their peers/friends will not come up and say, "You really fuckin' suck!". You can watch the results for yourself. - Mon, 26 Sep 2005 7:57pm

A friend learned a couple really good songs at first and his friends thought he was real good. Took two weeks to practice. Would it be better to pay 13.50 for a half hour every week for two months or pay six hundred for two days. He learned stairway to heaven and iron man. - Mon, 26 Sep 2005 8:06pm

There are monkeys that could feign being good if they figured out how to read tablature..

I still haven't payed for a lesson..I still suck and I've been playing about 2 and a half years but I can play a bit more than the intro to stairway. It's all about practice. I would personally say it's a waste of money to pay someone unless they are a qualified music instructor or have some sort of semi-professional music background..

Read these sights ,PRACTICE, and find people to jam
with. Practicing and jamming usually helps a lot.
If you can learn from reading those sights will help you a lot. I hope that was of some help,

Cheers

Thanks Sublime, I probably should have specified what I was looking for better. I have been playing for about 15 years, I am by no means pro, semi pro, or advanced...I just like to learn new things from those who are. - Tue, 27 Sep 2005 11:23am
