| nostalgia User Info... | I am a 22yrold grrl who's moved around extensively, don't know many people here, had/have trouble meeting other people who understand the intensity and passion behind my ideas concerning music. I dream of creating a gothic/eccletic/bizzarre/hardcore/punk cabaret type band, with me as the lead on vocal theatrics. I know my basics on keys and guitar,my vocals are my strength, and i have been writing for years. My lyrics are very cerebral, dark and strange, i have been told that my poetry is brilliant, as are my vocal abilities and visions. I admire Kate Bush, Trent Reznor, PJ Harvey, David Bowie, Jim Morrison, Elliott Smith, among others...but what I want to do is completely original. Comparitively speaking, the cabaret concept comes from my love of satire and theatre, from the berlin masters of the underground such as Kurt Weill. Alabama Song, anybody? Yes, the subjects i want to focus on are bloody and subconcious. Here i mention, i have an obsession with vampires! BUT I cannot be pigeon-holed. I am NOT a "goth", I am NOT a "punk" or, I am both, and then some; I am an original weirdo, who's desperate to meet other weirdos who have the ability to play an instrument and create something beautiful and shocking with me.
