I'm looking for an enthusiastic drummer to record an epic tech metal album with. Must be able to read music, or drum notation to a degree, play odd time signatures and play with advanced syncopation(beat displacement and modulation and the such). Good double kick is also pretty essential for the project. I'm currently sequencing the drum lines for the tracks, just so that I can start recording as soon as possible, but I'd like to have the real thing on the finished product. All of the other musicians are already in, and we're really excited to get this project off the ground. The basic lineup is: me on bass, acoustic guitar, and low vocals, a guitarist, who also doubles on keys, vocals and violin if he'll agree to bust it out, and a singer who plays guitar very well when needed. We're all really laid back, but motivated guys, and the project should be a lot of fun. For an idea of what it'll sound like, I've been listening to a lot of Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders, The Faceless, and Protest The Hero, but don't expect it to be too much like any of those, because I'd like it to be our own. I have literally hundreds of pages of scores written for the project already, and would love input on writing more. I also just spent $4500 on recording gear, and have access to great drum mics, so my schedule for when we'd record is completely flexible. Thanks for reading this drawn out post. Reply, or e-mail me if you interested, or know anyone who would be. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Simon,
That'd be sweet, but I'm a bassist. My guitar skills are all acoustic. I've listened to your band quite a bit. You guys are sweet. Good luck with your search for a guitarist. - Sun, 7 Mar 2010 2:12pm

On that note though. I'm looking for a second guitarist. Someone who would be willing to play eight string. Excellent rhythm chops would be necessary. - Tue, 30 Mar 2010 1:47am

Just Sibelius scores of the things I've written so far. They do pretty accurately illustrate what were trying to do though. - Tue, 6 Apr 2010 11:52am

Hey if you are just looking for someone to record I may be interested. Any way I can check out some tracks?

Also, you mentioned you play bass, my band needs a bass player. Its semi tech hardcore/metal. Nothing too nutty.

Here's some crappy demo tracks, let me know if you are interested. http://www.myspace.com/peepgamesukka

Thanks!
Jesse.
