| TLW User Info... | Hi there, i'm looking for some people to jam with, guitarists, drummers, bassists, existing bands, whatever. I just want people to play and practise with, and most importantly have fun with. I'm also looking for a drummer and bassist (and possibly keys) to start a brand new band with. I have songs started already, and I plan on playing the first show at the end of the month. I play guitar and sing, and the sound that i'm going for is rock. I know that sounds very generic, but i don't want to get too caught up in pigeonholing my music. Some of the music that has been influential on me over the years are; radiohead, king crimson, the white stripes, black sabbath, hendrix, neil young, david bowie, rush, deep purple, pixies, the rolling stones, pink floyd, led zeppelin, the beatles, talking heads...that's just to name a few. I also really like some of the new music out there, like; fleet foxes, grizzly bear, comets on fire, dead meadow, tv on the radio, my morning jacket...just to name a few as well, but i'm definately more knowledgable on the older music. I don't want to try to re-create classic rock by any means though, it's been done and it doesn't need to be done again. I just want to make great rock music without too many borders, and without the tacky trendiness. Anyways, i'm 25 and very serious about making music. i've been playing for 6 years, and am still very new to playing with other people. I'm open to play with people who are sort of into the music i've mentioned, and you should be 19 or over and have a good attitude.
