Event Description
Throughout the day there will be an ongoing Native plant sale by Satinflower nurseries and two workshops. You will leave with the knowledge (and plants) to create incredible pollinator habitat this summer.

12:30pm - Doors open
1:00pm-2:00pm - "The Story of SEMSEMÍYE" storytelling by ŚW̱,XELOSELWET Tiffany Joseph. Tiffany is a W̱SÁNEĆ knowledge carrier apprentice. Tiffany has weaved her learnings into a story about how a young girl named SEMSEMÍYE transformed herself into a bee-ing who would care for the land for generation after generation.
2:30pm - 3:30pm - Myriam Parent from Withbloom pollinator gardens will speak about Native pollinators and how to build habitat for them in the space you have, whether that be a backyard, a balcony or a blvd space!
This event is hosted on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən/Lekwungen speaking Peoples of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations and the W̱SÁNEĆ (SȾÁUTW/Tsawout, W̱JOȽEȽP/Tsartlip, BOḰEĆEN/Pauquachin, WSIḴEM/Tseycum) Nation.
Event entry is by cash donation. All proceeds will go towards covering the costs of the event & our work to protect pollinators and their habitat.
