| Meatlikesubstance User Info... | Looking for musicians who watch the last waltz and grin the whole time, yet can dig the new stuff like my morning jacket,modest mouse & elliott smith.I have great songs and I need to restore my faith that there are still cats out there who love to see the sun through the cracks.like when neil young said he recorded "helpless" at 3 in the morning when everyone could play his speed.I get shivers from the lap steel on neil's records, and think bob dylan is actually a good singer.I think Neil diamond Rules because he so doesnt rule and doesnt give 2 craps.I think the first three metallica albums were brilliant and that nick drake was a genius.I realize that most songs start out sounding like folk, and then evolve to a new level with the right people.I listen to the lips yoshimi and know that the spark of that whole thing was wayne with an acoustic and a crumpled up note book.I know that my words, and melody could shimmer forever with the right people, and I know yer out there dammit, lets get a rock and roll band together and make a million dollars.Or maybe free beer and stories to tell the grand children. - Mon, 9 May 2005 1:42pm | ||
