| bemused User Info... | Hi, any chance you're willing to share some of your info? I have a jazz/bossa/pop duo (voice, guitar) and we are looking to do overseas lounge gigs starting next fall. Where should we start in terms of agents? What should we look out for? We are both experienced musicians, but inexperienced on this kind of gig scene. | MLE User Info... | Hey Bemused, Yeah...lots to know...depends on what kind of contracts you want ie: cruise ship or resorts etc. There are lots of agents out there....one out of Vegas named Mike Malloney I think. (Check http://www.georgiastraight.com) You need a song list of at least 40 songs, Photo, Bio, video footage - basically a promo kit to send for available contracts. It all depends on what they are looking for. I am used to doing a full band showcase top 40's thing which is much different than a duo. Hope that helps! - Fri, 4 Feb 2005 3:40pm | ||
