Anyone interested in something groovy with post-rock or jazz-like elements? I can play guitar or bass. I would be into jamming and gigging. - Mon, 13 Dec 2004 11:09am

I play guitar but I can also play bass.

Influences...that is a tough one because it is kind of varied. MMW, sea and cake, isotope 217, anything jazz-ish, velvet underground. It depends on who I am playing with in the sense that I try to fit in with what everyone else is playing. The sound that I like is groovy post-rock.

The direction...well I really enjoy jamming with like minded musicians. However, I also like gigging so that is where I would like things to go. - Tue, 14 Dec 2004 10:27am

yeah, i can dig that. you see fly pan am when they were last in town? tore the roof off. i like the post rock with a funky disco beat that they've been doing lately and wouldn' tmind doing something similar myself. my only limitation now is that i only have acoustic instruments in town (guitar, mandolin), but those can be given a kick when i bring my effects to town after xmas. and electrified instruments could be arranged if things take off. anyway, gimme a jam if you want to jam a groove out. (of the influences you mentioned i would probably fill in the post rock side, as i'm not a jazz musician. but i can feel a funky groove for sure) garethATtangmonkeyDOTcom - Wed, 15 Dec 2004 8:58pm
