| Pat User Info... | Styles we are playing/combining/writing: Greek, samba, hip hop, reggae, canto, jazz, and ska. Influences: Cat Empire, Burning Spear, Tito Puente, World Beat, Sublime, Mad Caddies, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, etc. Players we have: DJ, djembe player, percussion/big band vocals,bass player, and lead alto sax as well as tenor sax/keys/ operatic-quality vocals( first chair tenor in uvic choir! wowee. kind of shrew-lookin though..DONT HIT ME CAIRAN! Guitar player with an Ibanez archtop and THE fro. Players we need to start really bringing out the music we really want to create: A drummer who enjoys all types of rhythms and doesnt mind a percussion section breaking into solos with 'im.Hopefully, since we are out at Uvic, you 'll be able to bring your gear to our space because the DJ literally cannot move his gear and this place is pretty good. One who is preferably jazz-trained. As for trumpet: pretty much you just have to like the styles that are mentioned and dress really cool on stage and you've rocked the audition, so to speak. | jordandrummer User Info... | sorry I couldn't make it last jam guys, but now the score is 1-1, we both have stood up the other once. if you still wanna try again, I had to go out of town this weekend allofasudden but am generally around Vic tinkering on computers and seeking places to play music with enthusiastic, creative, not-too-linear musicians and it still sounds like you guys have a pretty diverse list of styles/tastes. well, let me know, I'm frequently available.
