| jordandrummer User Info... | ok, in case anyone's missed my replies listing my influences and availability, or are new here, I wanna post an official post here. I have been drumming for 12 years, not long but enuff to get 'the basics...' I am influenced by the funk and blues from when I lived down south in Austin, Texas, the grunge from when I lived in Olympia, Washington... and the blues, jam bands, electronic music, and world music from living around here. And of course I enjoy listening to and playing reggae, dub, dancehall, jazz, classic rock, hip hop, rock, and others. I have pro gear and am extremely available. I am 29, have been in a few odd bands but still looking for the Right Band. If I have to I'll head to new orleans in search of a "Meters" style band, or head to the caribbean in search of a "Wailers" style band... or maybe new york in search of a jazz fusion band. I love world music of all kinds, I enjoy spacious, potent music with tasteful layers. And of course, I love music that has GROOVE. Let me know if you would like to get together to play music, record, perform, or learn some drumming basics. I play drum set, djembe, conga, bongo, didjeridoo, and a little bass and guitar. I'd enjoy developing my singing voice one day. I'm thinking of recording a demo to use as a resume soon, if anyone would like to play on a couple tracks of rhythm-oriented music, I imagine there'd be a reggae track, a jazz-funk track, a 'world' track of some kind, and maybe a jammy rock track or something. just an idea.
