| london drugged User Info... | hey, i want to start a band from scratch. i play guitar, i focus mainly on playing lead, so i'm looking for a drummist, a bassist, and a guitarist who plays mostly rythym. i've been playing for almost a year, and i love music more than anything else. i'm into all good music, and when i need to draw inspiration from bands, it comes from many, including the beatles, pixies, smashing pumpkins, nirvana, the white stripes, but most of it comes from jimi hendrix. i'm sick and tired of working at a job i hate, and i want to get the fuck out and just make music. if you have a musical vision, and you don't want to work for the man your whole life, and you got the balls to take a chance at something like this, then send me an email at [email protected] tell me what you're into and i'll definately get back to you matt - Sun, 12 Sep 2004 3:09pm | ||

| Audiophil User Info... | Hey, I play guitar, been playing for about 2 years now. If you aksed me name a genre of music that defined my style musically, I simply couldnt answer you. My influeneces and interests range from the Virtuoso Classics of the 60's/70's (Cream, Hendrix, Sabbath), the Brit Pop from the 80's (Morrissey, Eurythmics), Grunge 90's (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), Modern Rock 90's/00's (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Darkness, Muse), Brit Rock 90's/00's (Oasis, Travis), Indie Rock (Franz Ferdinand, The Shins, The Postal Service, The Flaming Lips). | Andrea User Info... | hey, I've been drumming for about a year now and have two projects this past year, one being a punk band and the other being an indie band. My influences happen to be exactly the same as yours and they also include The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Unicorns, Ima Robot, Moneen, Simon and Garfunkel, Elliott Smith, Anti-Flag, The Ramones, The Killers and The Velvet Underground. | steve User Info... | Hey, I dig you's all stylers. I've been playing bass for almost a year... I'm not fantastical, but competent (I guess). I also have a few other instruments: a shitty casio keyboard, a djembe hand drum, a direct drive turntable (no mixer, but I can get one for cheap), a way-cool harmonica that I got in China-town for a buck, my belly that I slap, I've got some spoons too (but I can't play like spoonman). me likes: The Unicorns, Interpol, Black keys, dj shadow, xiu xiu, muse, modest mouse, radiohead, arcade fire, beastie boys (just saw them last night in van - three ugly heads from the stage), UNKLE, the travelling willburys, Ted leo, Explosions in the sky, Pearl Jam, !!!, beta band, BRMC, lots of other stuff, everything... I'm 22, a UVic stud, from van originally... hmm, I don't know how to define my self succinctly. I enjoy rocking out, rawking in, people watching, drinking casually, drinking excessively, I dunno... some other stuff 'er whatever. I love music - it is teh goodness, ya.
