Top 40 Cruise Ship Band needing Guitar/Lead Singer

| Sam User Info... | The subject says it all. We need a guitar player to front the band as well. Here's the criteria: We will be responsible for playing 3 - 4 hours of top 40 stuff per night. You will NOT be responsible for singing all of this, as two other band members are also capable singers. However, expect to sing 50 - 60 percent of the time. We will also be responsible for a cocktail set in the afternoon. You must be able to play or at least learn quickly the following musical styles: Rock, Pop, Country, Funk, Disco, 50's/60's Classic Rock, and basically any other form of popular music. Jazz ability is a big plus, as it will take a big load off of me during cocktail sets, but it is not a necessity. Because of the amount of tunes we will be learning, reading is a major asset. It isn't necessary for those with a good ear, but it makes life a lot more efficient and easier. If you're into any kind of drugs what so ever, and yes, this means pot, then don't bother applying. I have no time for it. There will be a drug test administered by a medical lab before we go. This is a cruise line policy, and one I whole heartedly agree with. I do not believe in leader's fees for when we play the ship, but for local gigs, I may take a slice off the top to cover promo expenses and other band expenses. That being said, I hope I haven't scared too many of you off. If you're a capable committed musician with no drug problems, looking for a stable, well paying gig, then give me a shout. I'm obviously looking for someone in Victoria, Duncan, Ladysmith, or Nanaimo (or somewhere in between). You need to be able to commit to three practices per week. | Cruise Ship Experienced User Info... | What cruise ship? Out of which Port? When? You say you are working on a cruise ship, but 3 rehearsals a week in Duncan is not a cruise ship, so this Cruise ship date must be further down the road. Whats the pay, you say it is good pay.
