Influences include the misfits, danzig, and the offspring. Does mostly old-school punk (ramones, misfits, etc) but willing to do most anything else. | the mort User Info... | Just a bit of background on myself: My name's Rick Garrison. I grew up in the Ranchland district of Calgary. When I was in my mid teens I got into collecting vinyl from the misfits, samhain and danzig. I moved to Victoria from Calgary back in January. In early 2002 I was with a hardcore/punk rock band called "the g3a3's" starting with drums for a little while, but I moved to lead vocals soon after. the guys and I started having some issues with each other so we effectively broke up in spring 2003. I went on with the g3a3's former bassist Darren Kinole and formed a communist-parody punk band called "the mao mix". We were into the bar and club scene on 17th avenue (we calgarians call it "electric avenue" sometimes). I've been around a bit, and from what I've seen vic has a pretty strong rock scene. I'm excited about getting involved here, and I think I've got the enthusiasm a musician needs to have for this place. - Wed, 5 May 2004 2:59pm | ||
