Title : ALICE COOPER ROB ZOMBIE GRUESOME TWOSOME TOUR 2010
Article Text : ALICE COOPER ROB ZOMBIE GRUESOME TWOSOME TOUR 2010 PACIFIC COLISEUM It’s been along time since I went to a big concert and even longer since I stepped foot into the Pacific Coliseum, but being a huge Alice Cooper fan and being offered free tickets plus an amazing dinner made it happen! First up was the Coop. Although he gave us some rarities off of the albums Goes to HeIl and From the Inside, unfortunately the presentation was lacking and relied on the same old parlour tricks and the back up band just didn’t cut it, so I actually found myself bored during his set. Then came Rob Zombie who hit the stage with precision, power and a visual presentation that made my teenage rock’n’roll heart as well as the crowd come alive. Though I’m not a huge fan of his music, (it all kinda sounds the same; just insert ‘hell yeah’ over a heavy beat, et voila!) I found myself singing along. Mr. Bobby Z even took time during John 5's guitar solo to run around the joint and into the bleachers with a flashlight which won me over even more to the Zombie side of the show. In the end seeing kids in Alice Cooper make-up and shirts still makes me smile, but ultimately, I wish Alice had had Zombie’s band and stage show. I’m a bigger fan of his music, but if I was a kid leaving the Coliseum after the gruesome twosome, I would have wished I’d bought a Rob Zombie shirt. Billy Hopeless
